Good to Go Covid-19 Industry Standard

We are pleased to announce that the we are ready to re-open on 4th July and have been awarded the Industry Standard "We're Good to Go" mark and certificate.

This means that we will be following Secure Covid-19 Government, Public Health England and Visit Britain guidelines to protect guests. We have carried out a Covid-19 Risk Assessment to control the risks in the B&B by taking preventative measures, including cleaning and social distancing, which can be found here.

The Old Station House is a small 3 guest bedroom bed and breakfast run within a family home with two members of the household. However, in order to maintain social distancing we have decided to only let two of our guest bedrooms at any one time unless all three rooms are being rented through one booking. Therefore, there will be a maximum of four guests from two separate bookings at any one time.

One person in the household is responsible for running every aspect of the B&B and we do not employ any staff, apart from a cleaner who comes once a week for 2 hours but does not clean guest bedrooms or the dining room / guest lounge.

The medical advice is clear: you must self-isolate straight away for 7 days – or longer if you still have symptoms other than cough or loss of sense of smell/taste. If you live in the same household as someone with coronavirus symptoms, you must self-isolate straight away for 14 days. The main symptoms of coronavirus are:
